Systems Developer - HR/Workday in our National Center office
located in Dallas, Texas . (Flexible arrangements are
available)

Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for all development associated
with the HR Systems and Ancillary Application team. The HR Systems
team works closely with the HRIS Team to support American Heart
Association's Workday Platform. Workday Responsibilities include
Integrations, BIRT Reporting, Workday Studio and Workday Prism. The
Ancillary Applications include 15-20 internal systems used by
internal teams that include: HR, Legal, Procurement,
Communications, CEO Office and Finance. Systems include SaaS and
on-premises applications. Duties include maintaining an
understanding of the systems, participate in technical
conversations for problem design and architecture, and code out of
features in Workday Studio and IntelliJ using Java as defined by
the business development team.
Execute full range of HRIS functions within the Workday Application
including creation of new inbound and outbound integrations,
Business Process Optimization, Report Development, System
Administration and keeping track of Workday updates.
Provide system support, maintain, and change management
functionalities to perform migrations from Development instance to
Production.
Build various custom reports like Advanced, Matrix, Trended,
Search, Transposed and Composite Reports based on requirements.
Develop various custom integrations using Workday Studio,
Enterprise Integration Builder, DT, Core Connector and Cloud
Connects.
Involved in end-to-end implementations of new modules as the need
arises by client.
Build custom API's, use report as a service, XSLT for document.
transformation and EIB loads within the Workday Application.
Provide standard methodologies for implementation and track every
change using version control tools like SVN and GIT.
Develop custom security groups and map it with right domain
security policies to promote data confidentiality within the
organization.
Understand the concept to Business Process Driven Framework and
SAAS Model architecture.
Capture requirements and work with various multi-functional teams
to provide system support.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in application systems
management, configuration, or programming.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading all aspects of
technology provided through internal platform or Service as a
Software (SaaS) vendors.
Experience in strategic planning, including the ability to focus on
overall strategic goals of the Association and dependencies on the
assigned application system.
Experience supervising a team of analysts, developers, or
administrators.
Comprehensive technical skills with Java, API Methods, and system
design.
Ability to communicate, both verbally and on paper, tailoring the
form and method of communications to the needs and perceptions of
the recipients.
Ability to break complex problems down into simple elements and to
tackle them logically
Ability to adopt and motivate change, as well as remove barriers to
change or accelerate the pace of change.
Ability to attract, develop and mentor staff.
Strong time management skills with proven experience in leading
complex systems
Must be able to travel overnight approx. 5% of the time.
Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for:
Minimum of five (5) years of working knowledge of Workday HCM
Platform.
Knowledge of vendor management standard processes.
Knowledge of Agile development principles.
