Associate Lab Operations role will support the SMDD department by
managing IT-related tasks, including system configuration,
equipment maintenance, software updates, and IT liaison
responsibilities. This position ensures seamless integration of
laboratory and IT systems, supports mass spectrometry and Mettler
Toledo data management, and maintains IT infrastructure for lab and
office environments. Key Responsibilities: System Configuration &
Maintenance: Configure and maintain new LACE boxes for SMDD,
including system updates and new configurations for instrument
integration with Empower. Manage mass spec data storage across
multiple instrument vendors, providing a single point of contact
for maintenance, software upgrades, and connectivity for all MS
data. Oversee IC Data Center operations for Mettler Toledo
instruments. Update and maintain RFID systems for tracking
equipment lifecycle. Laboratory Support & Equipment Management:
Serve as LISO for lab iPads and laptops, ensuring data validation,
software updates, and system security. Assist Tech@Lilly with
system updates, machine swaps, and new device configurations.
Support Empower backups, updates, folder creation, and system
license management. Assist in new system updates for Empower
visualization tools and WattIQ integrations. Facilitate Mettler
balance software integration with Lilly applications. Maintain and
troubleshoot Smart Connect systems. Read and interpret equipment
schematics to assist with setup and troubleshooting. Work with
third-party vendors to update system configurations and
integrations. IT Infrastructure & Telecommunications: Act as a
liaison between SMDD and Tech@Lilly for department-related concerns
and issue resolution. Manage telecommunication requests and
updates. Conduct conference room and desk IT maintenance, including
monitors, TVs, and plug connections. Serve as SMDD system owner for
Atrium screens and PowerPoint presentations. Assist with Signals
environment updates and software testing. Network & Database
Management: Support SMDD equipment database management and
monitoring. Ensure new equipment is properly connected to the Lilly
network. Qualifications & Skills: Technical proficiency in IT
system configuration, software updates, and equipment integration.
Experience with Empower, Agilent data systems, and Mettler Toledo
software is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and
provide solutions for lab and office environments. Familiarity with
RFID tracking, Smart Connect systems, and network configurations.
Strong communication skills to act as a liaison between Tech@Lilly
and SMDD teams. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
Experience working with third-party vendors for system updates and
maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
pharmaceutical, biotech, or laboratory IT environments. Knowledge
of Lilly applications and Lab infrastructure is a plus. Lilly is

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $63,000 -
$140,800 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
