At Brooke Knoll Village, we support and empower Nurses in their role by trusting them to perform direct care to residents while also encouraging them to lead their department.Brooke Knoll Village is seeking compassionate Medical Records QMA/CNA who wants to make a difference and be part of a team who excels to succeed. Candidates who can perform the following need apply:Purpose: To establish and maintain the medical records of the facility, both active and inactive, in accordance with policies and procedures of the facility and governing regulations.Responsibilitiesand Duties include but not limited to:* Properly maintain, secure, store and keep confidential all medical records and related information.* Assist the facility in complying with all pertinent Federal and/or State licensure program requirements as it pertains to medical records.* Maintain medical record system for the facility.* Conduct ongoing medical record audits.* Maintain discharged record system.* Maintain schedule of physician visits and notify physicians when they are due for visits.* Perform tasks related to Quality Assurance meetings/functions * Assure a medical record is established for each resident admitted to the facility.* Meet with DON regularly and keep DON/Charge Nurses apprised of current record * Audit medication and treatment administration records as necessary to assure * Prepare summaries of audit findings for the DON and other department heads as needed. * Maintain discharge record filing system in an accessible manner for prompt retrieval of records.QualificationsAnd Skills* Qualified Medical Aide (QMA) or Certified Nurses Aid (CNA) in the state of Indiana.* High school graduate or its equivalent is desirable.* Some previous office or nursing service experience is highly desirable.* Background in medical terminology desirable.* Typing ability desirable.* Knowledge of State and Federal regulations concerning medical record keeping is highly desirable.* Must possess a current health certificate/examination as required by State agencyBenefitsAnd PerksFor candidates who are selected, they will be offered:* Competitive pay* Group medical benefit, dental, and vision insurance* Life and disability insurances* Attendance awards up to $900.00* Verizon cell phone discountsCandidates will also be able to advance their career and education with the assistance of scholarships, tuition assistance and reimbursement, and promotion!At Brooke Knoll Village we work to make a difference.
