This role leads user experience initiatives and manages team
members. This includes providing thought leadership and a vision
for compelling product experiences across a specific domain in an
Agile environment. The Director partners with cross-functional
leads from Digital, Product Management, Application Development,
Enterprise Architecture, Marketing and other key teams to advocate
for intuitive, valuable and engaging product experiences. The
leader also works with external vendors on project initiatives,
staff augmentation and software tools that support the teams work.
Additionally, the director is responsible for the coaching and
development of Digital Product Designers, setting a high bar for
quality and creating an environment where designers feel engaged
and excited to produce their best work.
- Supervise team members to prioritize and balance their workload
and evolve their skill set and contribution. Build collaboration
for cross team mentorship and ideation.
- Facilitate resource requests, provide level of effort
estimates, and maintain outside vendor/contractor
- Review and provide constructive feedback on team and product
deliverables, striving for improving our product experiences,
ultimately increasing value to our end users.
- Foster an innovative design culture and promote innovative
solutions for OA products.
- Manage resources to support Agile lifecycles.
- Advocate and lead design thinking and Agile-based design
processes, including collaborative working sessions, story boarding
and design studios.
- Strive toward consistent and intuitive experiences across the
enterprise via user research templates and deliverables, a design
system, and voice & tone guides.

- HCI, psychology, communication, design
Required Work Experience
- Design, UX, marketing
- Or any combination of education and experience which would
provide an equivalent background
