WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A good therapist starts by listening and then draws on experience and training to guide their client to a positive solution. Our EAP Therapists do that in targeted fashion as support for employers. Guiding managers through tricky job performance evaluations. Helping individuals find resources for additional treatment. Running group counseling sessions as needed. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assess client situation through the use of a variety of evaluation techniques, formulate a treatment plan and provide brief or long term counseling for individuals, couples and families, document treatment progress or lack of progress, and complete a termination summary for each individual, couple, and/or family.

  • Collaborate with the community and behavioral Healthcare providers outside the organization to ensure best practices with continuity of care.

  • Maintain up-to-date EAP client file documentation, demographic statistics, client satisfaction surveys, and productivity reports.

  • Promote EAP by writing wellness newsletters, presenting wellness webinars and through interactions as contract liaisons.

  • Provide assessment, therapeutic interventions and facilitate intra- and inter- departmental in-services to assist in addressing and/or preventing costly behavioral risk situations that are in line with the organization and business clients' policies and procedures.

  • Stay current on relevant practices and approaches to EAP by attending educational seminars, all departmental meetings, completing all mandatory CBT's and maintaining state licensure.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Prior experience in Social Services or a related field.

  • Prior EAP experience.

  • Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities.

  • Basic knowledge of computer software, hardware, and communication devices to perform tasks.

  • Knowledge of Brief and Long term Counseling Modalities.

  • Convey complex subject matter, simply.

  • Crises Intervention theory knowledge.

  • Deliver presentations and public speaking engagements.

  • Demonstrate understanding of DSM-5 and understanding of the disease model of addiction, including the 12-step model, medication-assisted treatment, and other modalities of care.

  • Develop effective relationships with patients, hospital departments, and other external parties.

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

  • Interpret test results and formulate reports.

  • Show sincere interest in others and their concerns.

  • Knowledge of types of health information and the rules and regulations surrounding their use.
