Functional Architect - Support Organizations.

KEY JOB ELEMENTS
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team is comprised of Enterprise
Architects, Domain Architects and Functional Architects. As a part
of this team, you will collectively define, guide, and have
responsibility for the organization's Enterprise and Business
Architecture from a holistic perspective.
With a real passion for business architecture and business
process engineering, you will help define, develop, and maintain
business specific road maps, current/future state business process
architectures, business requirements gathering, and
standards/patterns which align to the overall enterprise direction
which supports the business.
THE FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS ARCHITECT, WITHIN THEIR SPECIFIC DOMAIN
Understand the assigned business area/region in depth to support
strategic business decisions and ensure technology direction
matches strategic goals
Lead the development of a business case for new or increased use
of technology and coordinate with business area leadership to
ensure solid alignment across the business
Work with business area leaders to collaboratively define,
evaluate, and prioritize demand for new or changed IT services.
Actively participate in the development and socialization of
one-to-three-year Road Maps related to their respective domains and
the impacts/alignment with business initiatives.
Find opportunities and/or gaps that exist between current state
and the one-to-three-year target business architecture for the
domain. You will understand the goals and future roadmaps of the
business within your domain and socialize the IT Strategic goals
back to the business to align the initiatives of both and
understand and close the gaps.
Develop and maintain current and future state business process
Facilitate Application Portfolio Management activities including
but not limited to ensuring business objectives and requirements
are documented to support the Portfolio process.
You will review detailed business process flows and "as-built"
designs, review business process changes and assist the Technical
Architect in understanding the business needs.
Capture and analyze business feedback on the value of IT
Identify improvements and make recommendations based on
customer/business partner feedback.
Work with the Project Management Office to ensure business
engagement with requirements definition and acceptance testing
- Act as a single point of focus or escalation for issue
resolution and request.
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information
Systems Management or Related Field)
Corporate Finance domain knowledge and/or experience.
Experience with SAP Finance or other ERP software system
supporting the finance domain.
5+ years in a Business Analysts, BRM or Business Architecture
role within a formalized architecture function.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision,
running numerous analysis and design priorities without losing
sight of strategic context.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
Experience and/or knowledge of Workday HCM
Industry certifications (i.e. PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, BRMI)
Business and technology knowledge related to Human Resources,
Legal, Finance, IT Infrastructure, Applications or Platforms with
the ability to define and clearly articulate key elements of a
design to audiences with varying backgrounds.
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and
utilizing those requirements to develop business
architectures/designs with a strong Knowledge of SAP and
Experience working with IT service providers in an outsourced
Previous use of accepted architecture standards to make sound
architecture design decisions that are rooted in industry
Validated experience guiding teams that work in a reciprocal
manner as you will support in-flight projects with consultative
mentorship to staff, consultants, and external partners.
