Practice Builder - Transportation
Kimley-Horn is seeking entrepreneurial and growth minded
Practice Builders who can lead and build a transportation centered
practice in the Indianapolis area.
What type of transportation practice? The ideal candidate would
have a successful track record of serving clients at a high level
on roadway, bridge, or related projects in Indianapolis as well as
a passion for marketing, business development, and developing
strong client relationships. In addition to Kimley-Horn's
nationally recognized reputation, the candidate would have the
support of our growing local team along with our deep level of
existing transportation capabilities throughout the Midwest.
Management Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
business development and networking, proposal preparations,
participating and/or leading interviews, performing contract
negotiations, project work planning, coordinating with other
project managers, supervising the execution of work, transitioning
work to qualified staff, and serving as a leader by growing and

- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the
- Established relationships with INDOT, Counties, local agencies,
and/or local municipalities.
- Experience with business development and marketing including
proposal preparations, scopes of work, and budgets for projected
- 15 or more years of diversified experience in all facets of
roadway, bridge, or related design in the Indianapolis area,
including at least 5 years directly managing projects.
- Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources
- Demonstrated ability to manage roadway (and/or related)
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registered PE in the state of Indiana.
