Repair Engineer – Global Repair Services,
As a Repair Engineer for Global Repair Services Americas (GRSA)
you will work in a team of experienced and highly skilled repair
engineers to produce repair definitions needed for the delivery of
repaired components after their removal from service. In this
role you will propose, create and revise detailed repair process
definitions and work with external repair suppliers and various
internal RR engineering competencies on the optimization of
engineering concepts and solutions within agreed engineering and

GRSA is an aftermarket and component repair service provider to
many RR engine programs, globally. The delivery of repaired
components is accomplished with the help of an external supply
chain of approximately 150 suppliers and requires diligent supplier
management principles to be applied.

- Define and maintain technical requirements for component repair
processes and ensure compliance with them.
- Interrogate the condition of service run components and
identify opportunities for new repairs based on applicable and
technically feasible repair methods.
- Verify the repair method and ensure that all engineering,
design and other specification requirements have been correctly
understood, accounted for, verified and recorded when defining and
implementing the repair method. Ensure equivalency when changing
the repair method.
- Define the validation and verification requirements for repair
- Create and maintain relationships with internal customers
through good communication to ensure technical solutions meet
- Identify repair technology gaps or opportunities and create and
maintain relationships with Design Engineers and Product Definers
to ensure that repair methods are considered during initial design
concepts and any technology gaps resulting from new design
philosophy are identified early in the lifecycle.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience
in aftermarket repair and overhaul, design, materials engineering
or manufacturing OR;
- A Masters degree in Engineering with experience in aftermarket
repair and overhaul, design, materials engineering or manufacturing
- A JD/PhD with experience in aftermarket repair and overhaul,
design, materials engineering or manufacturing
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Technical knowledge of gas turbine power plants and
- Familiarity with FPA/FAIR processes
- Prior experience in aftermarket component repair and
