Job Description:

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) is looking for a Procurement Contracts Specialist responsible for quote and pricing activity for subcontracted machining, fabrication and other manufacturing operations.
Duties:

• Provide technical review for subcontract/sublet services as directed by Engineering, and coordinate correction of or additional information as needed.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Expedite orders per manufacturing requirements schedule.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms of sale with suppliers. Audit, evaluate and recommend changes to vendor supply base, ensuring capabilities are compatible with all quality and delivery requirements.
• Act as source inspector at vendor facilities when required.
• Investigate and provide follow-up on vendor non-conformances.
• Must be capable of being qualified as an internal auditor to ISO requirements.
• Ensure all data to support the subcontract function is accurate and entered timely into the system.
• Act as backup for Procurement Specialist and Purchasing Agent as required.
  Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, ideally in an engineering or related field.
  • Prior experience in machining and/ or fabrication preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy, written and verbal communication, and project management skills are required.
  • Must be able to travel to vendor sites as assigned, primarily domestically within the U.S.
