life's best work.(sm) The Underwriter will analyze Financial
Protection Products- Group Life, Group Short Term Disability (STD),
Group Long Term Disability (LTD) and Supplemental Health- plan
characteristics and assess risk. The Underwriter will also utilize
underwriting criteria and policies to provide proper rating
methodologies. - If you are located within PST and MST, you will
have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough
challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop comparative benefit packages for New and In force
Business, review claim experience, and apply underwriting
guidelines to prepare renewal and/or prospect rates -
- Support Marketing in completing group experience retention
illustrations and address questions on request for proposals
- Analyze Group Life, Disability and Supplemental Health
characteristics and assess risks around loss of clients -
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to the sales staff
and district offices on new -and renewal Financial Protection
proposals - You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance

Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or higher in Math, Finance, Business or
relevant work experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office suite
(including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Group Benefits Underwriting or related experience

- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is
$45,100 to $80,200. Pay is based on several factors including but
not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In
addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such
as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition
programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits
are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when

Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $49,800 to $88,200.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to
