looking for an Aerial Lineman to join our team and help connect
America. The Aerial Lineman will perform aerial cable installation
procedures and techniques including the placement of poles and
anchors.What you'll do---Ability to throw 1-2 pound weighted rope
over elevated cable/telephone lines and tree branchesAbility to
pull lashing equipment down cable lines to secure wiresAbility to
use pounding equipment to install grounding rods and anchors into
groundAbility to assist in pulling out cable lines and other
equipment used in installing cable wiresInstalls equipment and
dress pole to customer specifications, using assorted small hand
and power toolsOperates chain hoist to add tension to cable and guy
wiresOperates vehicle and bucket lift safely, following all safety
and traffic regulationsBasic daily maintenance of Company vehicle
including fluids check, cleanliness vehicle organizationAssists in
directing traffic flow in accordance with local and state DOT
guidelinesResponsible to fill out daily production reportsYou will
install and repair aerial telecommunications cableYou will safely
use hand tools and equipment such as; wrenches, drills, ladders,
lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and moreYou will safely
operate mechanized equipment such as; bucket trucks, digger
derricks, excavators, and moreYou will set up safety perimeter
using signage, cones, safety barriersYou will flag traffic when
requiredYou will understand separation and clearance regulationsYou
will safely work aloft using climbing hooks and laddersYou will
maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all
regulations, procedures and policiesQualifications:Who we are
looking for---Assists in maintaining proper inventory on vehicle
based on work assignmentAbility to communicate professionally with
co-workers, homeowners, and customersMust have or be able to obtain
a valid CDL Class "A" driver's licenseYou are at least 18 years
oldYou are authorized to work in the United States for this
companyYou are able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a
valid medical cardYou have a valid standard Driver's License or
Class A Commercial Driver's LicenseYou have previous construction
experience, preferably in the telecommunications industryYou have
knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and
techniquesYou are able to climb telephone poles and work in a
bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feetYou are
able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such
as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable
installation, over lash, and strand construction)You are able to
lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or
without assistanceYou are able to work over-time; after hours; on
weekends, for emergencies or on-callYou are able to maintain a safe
work environmentYou are able to work in all weather conditionsYou
are able to travel when travel is requiredYou may have experience
