Job Description:
The Club Opening Specialist supports the membership growth
volunteers to implement the annual membership growth plan. The
position entails the opening of clubs, communications support,
follow up, field training for club opening, club strengthening and
all other activities that ensure proper execution of the annual
membership goals. The Club Opening Specialist is a member of the
Global Membership & Education Department and team.
The Club Opening Specialist will work closely with the members of
the membership volunteers and staff team to develop goals,
strategies, and plans in order to achieve the vision, mission, and
strategic growth objectives of the organization:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and execute club opening events
- Ensure coordination of communications across the club opening
team
- Conduct on-site, field training for volunteers on club opening
according to membership and growth strategic guidelines
- Support volunteer training on club opening, inviting and
retention
- Schedule appointments for club opening blitzes
- Support area directors and volunteer leaders, as needed, in new
club openings with pre and post work
- Assist local club opening team to ensure each site becomes a
healthy new club
- Collaborate as subject-matter-expert with other team members or
departments to develop resources as necessary
- Provide appropriate support to membership and growth volunteers
with materials and training for district and international
conventions, as well as other meetings and conferences.
- Organize strategy to coordinate the implementation of regular
benchmarks, tracking and reporting, and orchestrate the
communication between membership volunteers within the
Americas.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in regularly scheduled conference calls with
volunteer leaders and staff meetings
- All other duties as assigned
Educational requirements:
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, philanthropic studies,
marketing, sales or education, or equivalent degree

- Experience with complex, multilevel volunteer organizations a
plus
- Microsoft Office suite of products, including OneDrive,
SharePoint and calendar
WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER INFORMATION:
- Ability to travel, by car and air, up to 70% of the time,
including evenings and weekends
- Use of a laptop or desktop on a regular basis
- Use of cellular or mobile phone technology on a regular
basis
- Setting up exhibits and convention related activities
- Available to work remotely and in office when required
