Job Description:

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for both sales and account services. From a sales perspective, the Account Executive position requires an individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate consistent measurable and effective sales activities, converting sales leads into lifelong company clients through effective communications and strong relationship-building skills. To be a successful Account Executive, you must be committed to growing a book of business through a disciplined sales effort. As an Account Executive with event servicing and production responsibilities, the Account Executive position requires that you can efficiently multitask. You are very organized, well prepared, and always dependable. To be a successful Account Executive, you must be committed to retaining business through excellent service to clients and collaboration with internal and external partners.

SALES AND NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

Develop a deep understanding of Fern s philosophy, overall product/service offering, and partner network to communicate to our prospects accurately.

Identify, qualify, and solicit new and repeat clients per company goals and objectives.

Build industry relationships that lead to sales referrals and introductions.

Develop professional relationships that result in the long-term retention of clients.

Perform timely and effective solicitation and follow-up through face-to face, written, or verbal communications.

Plan and conduct appointments (phone, online, face to face, etc.) to understand prospective clients' needs and challenges.

Develop and present proposals to prospective clients using professional communication skills and presentation materials created by you and supplied by the company.

Develop and maintain an understanding of internal costs (labor, materials, equipment, etc.) associated with producing events to create accurately priced client proposals.

Participate in company sales activities to sustain your understanding of the company's directives and resources.

Participate in industry activities to seek qualified sales leads, promote the company brand.

Repeatedly provide complete and accurate account updates via Salesforce.

Represent the organizationally professionally at all times and respond quickly to all client and co-worker requests.

Perform regular budgeting, scheduling, and sales projections associated with account assignments to management.

ACCOUNT SERVICING AND PRODUCTION:

Serve as the Clients primary point of contact following acceptance of an agreement or assignment of an account.

Provide Clients with information and assistance related to available services and solutions

Interface with operations, warehouse, office personnel, and external partners to ensure smooth and reliable delivery of all client requests.

Regular and consistent interaction with other operating departments to effectively plan for efficient show production.

Assuring the materials and labor are available to accomplish all production activities in advance of the event and at the event site.

Sourcing labor and equipment requirements for pre-show and show site production

Build relationships with the workforce, facility, and vendor representatives that lead to efficient operations and service delivery.

Develop professional relationships that result in the long-term retention of clients and vendors.

Perform prompt, thorough, and effective verbal, written, and face-to-face communications

Maintain an ongoing budget and fiscal account of the costs (labor, materials, equipment, etc.) associated with producing events that provide accurately priced and comprehensive budgets and final invoices to clients.

REQUIRED SKILL/COMPETANCIES:

Bachelor s degree preferred, but not required

Experience in trade shows, live events, or related industry preferred

Two plus years experience in sales, operations, or customer service

Strong client relationship and service delivery experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or other CRM).
