We are seeking a Regional Philanthropy Officer to serve our
community and support our lifesaving services. These
mission-critical roles serve as the key steward for a portfolio of
current and prospective philanthropists in support of the American
- You will engage in relationships with individual donors, while
having a significant amount of opportunity to develop giving
- Ensure retention and growth of donor contributions.
- Meet or exceed a minimum annual fundraising target including
renewable gifts and new incremental revenue, adjusting as necessary
in the event of major domestic disasters.
- Engage our Tiffany Circle members through mission experiences
and regular communication.
- Design and disseminate customized solicitation strategies
targeting donor interests in partnership with cross-departmental
teams; maintain up-to-date donor records in region/chapter database
following donor contact.
- This is a blended work position in the Indianapolis area. You
will work from a home office, meet with donors in person as needed,
and be available to come into the office for meetings as
- Advance the organizational mission and creating meaningful
impact in the lives of both donors and beneficiaries of that
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years sales and/or fundraising experience
required. Proven experience in developing strategies for donor
retention growth and recapture and proven success with complex
requests is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and fundraising database systems
(e.g., Raiser's Edge or Salesforce.com)
- A current valid driver's license and good driving record is

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are
representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While
performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly
required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The
employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The
employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up
to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory
skills sufficient to visit other locations. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of
moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and
printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to
work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer
terminal for an extended period of time. Overall mobility is
