- 9 Paid HolidaysJob purposeThe Systems Engineer will be focused
on Keter Pulse, our IoT solution feeding data into eTrac, our
proprietary and industry-leading application which aggregates all
operational and financial data enabling Keter to make data-driven
decisions for our customers. Responsible for engineering and
operations of our fleet of IoT devices. This position will need to
be located in Indiana or surrounding midwest states ensuring easy
travel to headquarters in Indianapolis once a month.Duties and
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the current generation
of Keter Pulse devices deployed in the field
- Monitor and provide operational support for current and future
generations of IoT devices deployed in the field
- Propose enhancements to the engineering and design spec for the
next generation of IoT devices
- Work with component manufacturers, service providers, and our
manufacturing partners to evaluate and select the very best
hardware and software components for future iterations of the
product
- Travel onsite periodically as needed to resolve operational
problems, or to assist with installation or replacement of IoT
devices in the field
- Create operational support procedures and documentation
(videos, checklists, guides, etc.) to enable Keter field support
teams to resolve operational issues locally
- Manage inventory of spare devices and parts in line with sales
pipeline and support requests
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to understand
future opportunities for value creation and incorporate that into
engineering design and operational support efforts
- Assist with general IT department project and support needs
related to networking, security, and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or
related field, or equivalent experience
- Candidate must be located in the midwest.
- 5+ years' experience
- Strong experience with the Raspberry-Pi platform
- Proficiency working with electrical hardware and electronic
components (power supplies, cabling, breakers, relays, PLCs,
networking components, etc.)
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Must be self-directed and detail-oriented
- Should have intermediate or better Linux system administration
skills
- Should have intermediate or better Python development
skills
- Must have experience creating automation scripts
- Must be proficient with basic networking like switching &
routing
- IT security experience is preferred
