Job Description:
As a Signals Intelligence Voice Interceptor, you'll use your
skills as a linguist to identify, categorize, translate, and
summarize foreign language communications from a specific location.
You'll also operate and oversee signals equipment used in signals
intelligence operations. You'll learn intelligence skills needed to
conduct military briefings, and tip the appropriate authorities
when needeThe Voice Intercept Technician conducts, manages and
gives operational direction for use of intelligence and electronic
warfare (IEW) personnel and equipment.d. This role is important
because the nation's defense depends largely on information that
comes from foreign languages.
With increasing joint operations, a greater pool of applicants from
other military branch services (Navy, Air Force and Marines)
exists. Those who can demonstrate their qualifications may apply
for 352P on a will-train basis. Applicants from other military
branches must come from a military intelligence Military
Occupational Specialty (MOS) with similar duties and skill set as
outlined above. Applicants must demonstrate their qualifications
through hard copies of documented experience (e.g., awards,
certificates and performance evaluations).
