Job Description:
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the
Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU
Health Physicians (IUHP), is seeking a highly motivated academic
hematopathologist to join its expanding faculty. The individual
selected will be part of the Division of Hematopathology that
provides expert diagnostic and consultative services to Indiana
University Health (IU Health) which includes Methodist Hospital,
Indiana University Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, IU Health
West, IU Health North, IU Health Arnett and a number of smaller
hospitals. The division also serves Eskenazi Health and the Richard
L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will join
a collaborative group of seven hematopathologists with sign-out
activities based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory
(IUHPL). The academic rank is determined by qualifications and
level of experience.Position Details:
- Provide diagnostic services including sign-out of tissue
hematopathology, flow cytometry, peripheral blood and fluids,
molecular hematopathology and/or coagulation
- Pursue clinical and translational research
- Actively participate in educational activities including
training of ACGME-accredited and non-accredited fellows
- Opportunities for teaching and research
- Monday-Friday schedule with call rotationQualifications:
- Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Pathology
in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Applicants must also be qualified for medical licensure in the
state of Indiana
- Fellowship in Hematopathology
- Doctorate or Terminal degree is required
- Interest in molecular hematopathology or coagulation
preferred
