an entry level position, which is a great opportunity for
individuals looking to work in the power industry. Working under
the direction of the Supplemental Waste Program Manager, the
individual will be responsible for fork truck operation unloading
trucks at the Energy from Waste facility's docks. Utility Operators
must maintain their work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner
and comply with all safety and operational policies and
procedures.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:---
Unloading trucks--- Perform safety inspections--- Review and sign
shipping documents--- Assist in regular cleaning projects--- Cross
train in other areas of departmentPosition Requirements: High
School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license. Prior
experience in an industrial environment utilizing mobile equipment,
namely fork trucks, is desired. Must be able to work overtime as
needed including nights, weekends, and holidays with minimum
notice. May be required to work extensive overtime hours during
planned and un-planned maintenance.Must be able to work in all
locations within the plant, under extremes of hot and cold, and in
areas of dust, noise and wet conditions. Must be able to wear a
respirator, climb a ladder to access equipment and work from
heights using fall protection, lift heavy objects and other manual
labor to including pushing, pulling, sweeping and shoveling.
