InformationThe Indiana University Alumni Association's mission is
to activate and support the global alumni network of more than
750,000 IU graduates - encouraging alumni to grow a lifelong
connection with Indiana University, and inspiring their ongoing
generosity toward each other and the university.The IUAA activates
IU's powerful global network through live and virtual events,
volunteer opportunities, scholarship programs, compelling IU
content, and seriously fun traditions. Additionally, the
association develops and supports volunteer leadership, serves as a
voice for alumni as the university evolves, and provides lifelong
learning opportunities.Job SummaryThe IU Indianapolis alumni
engagement focused student fellow will develop strategy for recent
alumni volunteer engagement and implement Central Indiana focused
alumni engagement efforts. Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinates front line Alumni Engagement efforts, with a focus
on recent alumni, to increase awareness of alumni engagement
opportunities in Central Indiana such as planning regular coffee
hour meet and greets, launches and sustains a Central Indiana
alumni-owned business catalog, and develops communications to
market upcoming alumni events and/or highlight alumni achievements
(newsletter, social media, etc).
- In conjunction with the Programs and Events Student Fellow,
develops strategy to increase awareness of IUAA among students at
IU-Indianapolis.
- Develops and implements activities and communications to
support first-generation student celebration in November.
- Supports the overall alumni engagement strategy in Central
Indiana. Includes but is not limited to assisting in coordination
of Central Indiana Chapter leadership council and committee
meetings, provides a student perspective (when available), and
assists in planning and execution of IUPUI Signature Events:
Regatta Alumni Hospitality Experience, Top 100 Alumni Experience,
Weekend U, Hall of Fame, and Alumni Leaders Dinner.
- Serves on the Student Alumni Association and IU Homecoming
Steering Committee.
- Joins Associate Director of Market Engagement in alumni
engagement meetings (identifying alumni engagement
interests).QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
- Currently as a student at Indiana University. WORK
EXPERIENCEPreferred
- Experience creating communications for a defined audience.
- Experience designing digital marketing materials for social
media or other web-based platforms.
- Experience with design software, such as InDesign, Photoshop,
or Canva.
- Alumni experience. SKILLSRequired
- Proficient communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a member of a team with a collaborative
attitude.
- Ability to maintain open communication and be highly
resourceful and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and

representative of the IUAA. Working Conditions / DemandsThe person
