Job Summary CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Gas Measurement Coordinatorto join our VUTL Measurement Services Team, located in Indianapolis, IN. You will have the ability to: support the gas meter shop with materials management, device records management, analysis of gas measurement accuracy data, ad hoc database queries and reporting, and other professional communications and support as needed. Essential Functions

  • Creates professional ad-hoc reports, graphs, and data representations.
  • Monitors variance between expected delivery of materials and actual receipt, communicates discrepancies with supervision and other business partners, records, updates, and manages device records utilizing various software systems (Customized databases, Access, spreadsheets, and SAP)
  • Monitors purchase requests, validates invoices, process receipts and expense reports, and ensures the timely completion/approval and/or payment of these activities via SAP transactions.
  • Materials management and inventory tracking to include SAP transactions.
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of data produced, and results reported; accepts accountability and works cohesively in a team environment that stresses diligence and commitment to superior performance.
  • Supports budget accounting processes by providing timely and accurate materials management.
  • Basic understanding of creating and executing database queries . Essential Functions Continued
    • Updates scorecards, aids in the development/upkeep of visual management boards and TEAMS sites, analyzes and reports on measurement data compared to targets.
    • Documents standard work instructions and change management issues associated with improving business performance.
    • Maintain accurate records for regulatory, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
    • Respond to data requests from cross functional groups or management timely and autonomously.
    • Works cooperatively with cross-functional teams and departments in the development and continuous improvement of processes, initiatives, and budgets.
    • Facilitates safety meeting activities and participates in a culture of safety.
    • Orders and maintains office supplies as needed.
    • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Access). Education Description
      • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience
        • Requires a minimum of three (3) years in building and executing database queries, proven skill set in both SAP, MS Excel, and Access to include pivot tables, joining tables, running scripts, etc. A bonus to have
          • Utility experience
          • Materials management, budget reporting, procurement, purchasing.
          • Able to work with moderate daily pressure to meet deadlines.
          • Able to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.
          • Able to adapt easily to changing work schedules.
          • Able to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands.
