• Certification Details
• Certification Requirements: BCLS; ACLS Preferred.
• Skillset Requirements: Cardiac PCU, Drips, Post Cath Lab, IV Starts, and Sheath Pulls.
• Skillset Preferences: Conscious Sedation and Telemetry.
  • Job Details
  • Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW).
  • The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
  • Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule.
  • These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
  • IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
  • IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.
  • First Time Travelers Accepted.
  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS.
  • TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
  • Staffing Ratios: 1:4.
  • Unit Information: IU Methodist's A5East is a progressive care unit that focuses on the close monitoring of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of nursing experience required.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12.
      • Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE.
      • If a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract.
      • If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract.
      • Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
          • Additional Details
          • Valid Driver's License or Passport accepted.
          • Must be clear copy.
          • AHA ONLY. RQI is acceptable.
          • Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date). Must be through primary source.
