Through our experienced and professional pharmacy team, AmeriMed assists patients recovering from surgery, being treated for an infection, or with nutritional needs to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle while receiving care at home. Our goal is to help each patient be an active participant in their care. Through education and partnership with each patient and their caregivers, we teach our patients how to effectively manage their therapy and provide ongoing oversight, coordination and support throughout their therapy.
Responsibilities
AmeriMed Home Infusion Pharmacy in Indianapolis, Indiana is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team!
As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at AmeriMed, you will play an integral role in the pharmacy operations. At AmeriMed you will utilize your clinical knowledge to assist pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate infusion therapies to be administered to our patients in their homes.
Day-to-Day, your role includes:

• Be working in the clean room preparing and compounding specialized therapies using aseptic technique.
• Assist with performing daily temperature checks on refrigerators, freezer and drug storage areas recording and maintaining temperature logs.
• Accurately calibrate pharmacy equipment.
• Assist with biohazard waste disposal in accordance with EPA, OSHA, state and federal guidelines.
  Qualifications
  
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Active Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Indiana Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Active ExCPT Certification provided by the National Healthcareer Association; or CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
  • Two years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
  • Understands and can perform basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Availability for full-time, regular day time hours
  • Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
    Pay Range
    $18.42 - $20.72 /hour
