We are seeking an enthusiastic Full-Time Lab Technician to join our Processing Department. The Processing Department is the first step for the urine and oral fluid samples. You would be responsible for preparing the sample for all required testing. Each Specimen Processor will be competent in two functions within the department and be knowledgeable of the segments of work. Available functions are Specimen Accessioning, Data Entry, and Aliquot. Segments of work are Criminal Justice, Pain Management, Employment, Oral Fluids and Regulatory testing.
We are hiring for the following shifts:
Full Time Monday Friday: 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Starting pay is $16.50hr with an additional $2.00hr for hours worked 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
+ Enters the sample into the computer system, selects the provided client account with requested testing, and prepares a test tube for initial drug screening.
+ Captures the required demographics from the sample requisition and enters it into our system for result reporting.
+ Prepares exact volumes of specimens for confirmative testing using transfer pipettes and ensures that samples received by Accessioning are stored accurately in Specimen Storage.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Ability to interpret and follow complex, written instructions
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Ability to work independently as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
+ Data entry skills via a keyboard (alpha and numeric)
+ Strong hand-eye coordination
