Additional information about PST is available at Job DescriptionThe qualified candidate will work under the supervision of our engineers as a Thermal Spray Technician. -He/she will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and duties in a Research and Development department, including but not limited to operating thermal spray equipment, surface preparation and finishing equipment, and industrial robots. Work duties also include equipment maintenance and calibration. R&D technicians need to have a high degree of interest in working with a variety of equipment in an innovative environment. The person must be willing to learn new skills through cross training. Job requirements

  • Strong work experience in thermal spray application and technology
  • Prior experience in robotics or CNC machine operations
  • Hands-on mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing and/or plant environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or follow written instructions
  • Self-motivated, good communication skills and a team player
  • Ability to work in a team-based collaborative environment where priorities may shift
  • Demonstrated learning skills in a new operation environment
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees
  • Maintain equipment and housekeeping within work environment
    --- - - - - - - - - Make minor and routine adjustments to production equipment without assistance.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
    • Perform basic math and possess basic computer skills
    • Record and document research findings laboratory books
    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, and crouching
    • Other duties as assigned
