searching for an Automation Architect for both OT and IOT. The
Enterprise Architecture (EA) team is focused on leading the
strategy, design, and governance of Corteva's technology roadmap.
Its charter includes continually improving the internal and
external environment for new innovations and opportunities that
apply to Corteva's goals and objectives as well as partnering with
business lines. As an Automation Architect focused on the OT and
IoT space, you will leverage your knowledge of factories,
manufacturing, supply chains, and R&D to identify opportunities
for accelerated throughput and process optimization. Critical
skills include technology acumen and subject matter expertise as
well as experience in lean and quality methodologies. Key
Responsibilities - What you will do to help us grow! The Automation
Architect - OT & IOT will, in close partnership with functional
leaders and teams, lead developing, maintaining, and governing the
Automation processes and Automation Interface Architecture related
to manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing and other related
areas. This individual will:
- Promote automation design principles and standards.
- Assist business modelers and developers with the solutioning,
design, and development of automation processes, data and
interfaces.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the development teams on
architectural practices and policies.
- Partner and collaborate with business and operations teams in
coming up with agile and sustainable processes for the deployment
and management of automated solutions across non-production and
production environments.
- Build strategies to develop the necessary automation
competencies throughout the organization.
- Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving
skills to the software development life cycle in the designated
areas of assignment.
- Drive out the key global business requirements and translate
into workable requirements containing process information, data
flows, comprehensive functional specifications and test.
- Creation and maintenance of up-to-date documentation pertaining
to core IT and automated processes, software and business logic,
software configuration as well as identification of hardware and
infrastructure used to support automation initiatives.
- Actively apply lean and quality methodologies and frameworks to
all activities, including business process mapping and
re-engineering activities as part of technology solutioning.
- Measure, monitor, and maintain the team's ability to meet or
exceed identified outcomes and KPIs.
- Act as a change agent/coach to instill and sustain change.
Qualifications
Credentials and Experience
- Requires BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university
preferable in a technical discipline.
- Black Belt/Green Belt certification or equivalent
experience.
- Certification programs in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, ITIL, quality
improvement, quality auditor, and/or quality engineering or
similar.
- 10+ years of Information Technology, Manufacturing/Supply
Chain, and/or Quality experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing
technology-based solutions in lean/quality engineering
environments. Demonstrated Experience
- Big Data platforms and technologies, including, but not limited
to MS Azure Data Lake and Data Factory, Databricks, and
PowerBI.
- Automation platforms, such as UIPath, Automation Anywhere, and
Blue Prism.
- Implementing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise software
applications.
- JDA platforms/languages, MOCA, Java, etc. is a benefit.
- PLC technologies like Rockwell, Siemens, etc. is a
benefit.
- ERP Design, Implementation, and Continuous Improvement,
preferably SAP.
- Contemporary programming languages.
- Leading lean and quality initiatives in manufacturing and
supply chain Additional Skills
- Familiarity with information management practices, system
development life cycle management, IT services management, agile
and lean methodologies, and ITIL frameworks.
- Strong Quantitative and problem-solving ability: Ability to
conceptualize complex problems and develop an analytical road map
for them.
- Demonstrates the ability to facilitate meetings to generate
ideas and make key decisions.
- Creates a team environment of accountability and commitment for
reaching project goals.
- Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork,
facilitation, and negotiation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Self-driven, problem solver.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation
skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to
technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to successfully manage cross-functional projects
involving multiple stakeholders and varying levels of
management.
- Experience as a leader and mentor for project teams in a
