Associate Director – Procurement drives the iAPI site procurement
strategy, leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, and
contract negotiations across direct and indirect categories
supporting peptide API production. The role manages one team member
and partners with Finance, Quality, Operations, and Materials
Management while aligning with Global Procurement strategies. Key
Objectives/Deliverables: Procurement Strategy & Site Leadership
Drive the site procurement strategy aligned to operational
priorities, performance goals, and supply continuity; communicate
updates to site leadership. Represent procurement in site
leadership and cross-functional forums; brief leaders on supplier
risk, cost drivers, and savings opportunities. Build and present
the annual procurement savings plan using Global Procurement
methodology, with documented, measurable results. Lead procurement
continuous improvement; develop value cases (NPV, total cost, cost
avoidance) with Site Finance. People Leadership & Team Development
Manage and develop one team member through clear goals, coaching,
feedback, and performance reviews aligned to site and functional
priorities. Create development opportunities (stretch work,
cross-functional exposure, negotiation experience) to build
capability and readiness. Build a culture of accountability and
continuous learning; make procurement contributions visible across
the site. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Own sourcing
strategies for assigned categories aligned to peptide and insulin
manufacturing needs. Perform market and benchmark analyses to
assess suppliers, identify savings, and inform make/buy or source
changes. Drive standardization, consolidation, and volume leverage
across direct and indirect categories. Deliver supplier projects
that improve quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost; summarize
results for site and enterprise reporting. Supplier Relationship &
Contract Management Negotiate and execute MSAs, amendments, and
pricing for key categories, leveraging Global Procurement and
aligning to global strategies. Lead supplier management for
strategic partners: performance reviews, issue resolution, actions,
and continuous improvement. Coordinate supplier qualification with
Quality and Regulatory to meet cGMP requirements and supplier
quality standards. Support material and supplier quality decisions;
maintain effective partnerships through quality events and supply
disruptions. Cross-Functional Partnership & Supply Continuity
Partner with demand planning, buying, and Materials Process to
ensure continuity and security of critical raw materials. Maintain
SAP master data (pricing, safety stock, lead time, ABC) with annual
reviews completed. Support MRP and non-MRP buying Partner with Site
Finance to build supplier/material cost changes into the Business
Plan and forecasts to avoid budget surprises. Compliance & Global
Procurement Partnership Ensure compliance with procurement and
finance policies, including FRAP authorization and WwTP/Aravo
third-party requirements. Build strong partnerships with Global
Procurement category managers and peers across the network.
Represent site needs in global sourcing and category reviews;
provide site input to inform contracting decisions. Basic
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management,
Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of
experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or manufacturing
operations, with progressive responsibility. Demonstrated
experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and
strategic sourcing. Strong analytical skills with the ability to
build business cases, conduct total cost of ownership analyses, and
quantify savings. Qualified applicants must be authorized to work

Experience in pharmaceutical or cGMP manufacturing environments.
Green or Black Belt (Lean Six Sigma) certification. Proficiency in
SAP (MM module) and familiarity with MRP-driven procurement
processes. Experience with raw material sourcing. MBA or advanced
degree. CPSM, CPM, or similar procurement certification.
Proficiency in Power BI, advanced Excel, or procurement analytics
tools. Experience supporting site transformations or capital
expansion projects. Knowledge of change control systems and
Aravo/WwTP third-party compliance platforms. Ability to work
autonomously, prioritize responsibilities, and be action oriented.
Independent decision maker with ability to influence diverse
groups, both internally and externally. Strong teamwork,
presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated learning
agility and ability/willingness to adapt to continual change within

on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic
location. The anticipated wage for this position is $127,500 -
$187,000 Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a
company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual
performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit
