Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to assist the Trane office in the development and growth of our temporary solutions (rental) business.Success will be measured by, orders/sales, market share, and profit goals for assigned office. To lead and build the Rental business forming strategies for aggressive growth, implementation and delivery. The role will have responsibility for both sales and development of Rental business. Responsibilities: Accountable for the delivery of the Rental Sales and deployment strategy across all Service locations and the effective collaboration between all Service offices. Work with the Sales and Marketing team to design and drive sales campaigns to generate new business. Responsible for the overall management of Rental Orders, WIP, Margin & Local Services Operational Excellence control in line with AOP targets and customer requirements. Responsible for establishing and driving the Rental sales and deployment activities to drive the growth of the Rental results in line with financial targets. Instrumental in introducing key initiatives to drive innovation and growth in the Rental team. Establish positive working relationships between Rental and other functions, particularly with the Sales functions to best support the effective running of the business. Actively develop Rental sales to maximize new opportunities, monitoring proposals and promotions and devising creative solutions to relationship building and actively promoting the business externally. Help the office determine and develop the appropriate marketing strategy for their coverage area and help develop marketing tools, case studies and success stories in the local rental market. Responsible for the overall development and capabilities of the Rental team to include consideration of how competencies, knowledge and skills are spread across different locations and to review how the team can best support our customers where there are skills gaps in specific areas. Line management and development responsibility Rental Logistics FSR and Rental Sales Engineers. Develop and close sales opportunities to help grow emergency response rentals, number of cooling contingency plans and to move into non-emergency markets including planned, seasonal and special events rentals. Create and design accurate and timely technical solutions based on the customer's temporary needs and specifications based on existing rental equipment offering. Develop rental quotes from initial request to proposal, to include rental equipment quotes to complete turnkey solution proposals. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of Commercial HVAC or rental sales experience Working knowledge of Sales & Service/Rental Management and the fundamental concepts of heating, ventilating, air conditioning & HVAC systems including building automation systems. Excellent product and technical knowledge. Must be tactful, professional, assertive, and an effective and clear decision-maker under pressure situations; ability to deal effectively with customers, sales assistants, and field sales force. Ability to take initiative and to recognize, prioritize, and perform required activities with minimum supervision or assistance. Ability to make effective promotional and in-depth technical presentations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong team-player. Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications: Commercial Degree and Technical degree or technical certificate or equivalent trade school or technical college diploma preferably in the HVAC Industry Working knowledge of Trane & other OEM products & services, including equipment & systems, controls, building automation systems, parts, service procedures, service agreements, project / contract management & ancillary HVAC products.
