Job Description We are seeking a Histotechnician to join our fast-paced dermatology/Mohs practice. The successful candidate has expertise in performing analytical techniques on tissue samples in order to identify disease pathology. The Histotechnician works closely with a team of medical specialists to provide accurate and timely diagnoses. This position is from 6:45am-3:15pm. Responsibilities: Prepare frozen section samples for examination during Mohs surgery. Prepare permanent section samples for examination. Perform tissue dissections to prepare slides for examination. Qualifications Proficient in specimen collection and processing techniques Strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory procedures Knowledge of physiology and aseptic techniques Familiarity with phlebotomy practices Clinical or research laboratory experience is a must Bachelor of Science Degree required OR Associate Degree equivalent coursework / lab training Benefits: 401(k) Continuing education credits Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
