Bookkeeper/Accountant - Nonprofit Organization Location: Indianapolis, IN (Fully In-Office) Type: Full-time Are you a mission-driven accounting professional who loves working in a collaborative and purpose-filled environment? A well-established nonprofit organization based in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team. This fully in-office role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact while enjoying 6 weeks of paid time off and a truly supportive, positive workplace culture . What You'll Do: Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accuracy Process payroll and ensure timely tax filings Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting for grants and programs Support annual audit preparation and compliance requirements Collaborate with leadership and program teams to ensure financial transparency What We're Looking For: 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (nonprofit experience a plus) Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Bachelors Degree Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines A team player with a passion for supporting a meaningful mission What We Offer: 6 weeks of paid time off (PTO) A welcoming, collaborative, and mission-centered team culture Consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule Opportunity to contribute to meaningful community impact Convenient in-office location in Indianapolis If you're looking for a role where your accounting skills make a difference and you're part of a values-driven team, we'd love to hear from you.
