This opportunity provides vital surgical support through 24-hour call coverage, working alongside an experienced healthcare team. Job Details: Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: 24-hour call Practice Setting: Inpatient Location: Near Indianapolis, IN Key Responsibilities: Cardiothoracic Surgery: Provide comprehensive surgical care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and other critical procedures. Patient Load: Manage an average patient volume of 5 cases, ensuring high-quality surgical outcomes. Call Coverage: Provide 24-hour call coverage to support a solo surgeon in a busy hospital setting. Collaboration with Support Staff: Work closely with a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver efficient patient care and surgical support. Requirements: Board Certification: Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Experience with CABG: Proficiency in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) is required for this role. Licensing: Must possess an active Indiana medical license or be able to obtain one promptly. EMR System: Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred. Credentialing Timeframe: Candidates must be prepared for a streamlined credentialing process to ensure immediate placement.
