certified What You’ll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic: Supervise
shift mechanics by assigning tasks, verifying completed work, and
assisting with training and disciplinary actions as needed.
Authorize and oversee after-hours repairs in alignment with company
policies and procedures. Manage parts inventory using TMT,
including ordering, receiving, and tracking of parts and supplies.
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and full-service repairs on
heavy-duty vehicles and trailers, including work on brakes,
transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, electrical
systems, and welding/fabrication tasks. Remove, repair, reinstall,
and adjust vehicle components; conduct thorough final inspections
to ensure all repairs meet federal and state safety regulations.
Complete detailed work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and
repair records. Respond to on-site service calls and provide
support as needed. Collaborate with technicians and provide
guidance on complex repairs and troubleshooting. Open and close the
maintenance facility, ensuring readiness and security of
operations. Diesel Mechanic Required Qualifications: Proven
experience as a diesel mechanic; supervisory or lead technician
experience preferred. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair
software (experience with TMT a plus). Strong mechanical,
electrical, and welding skills. Excellent problem-solving and
communication abilities. Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or
willingness to obtain. Ability to work flexible hours and respond
to after-hours calls if required.
